My understanding is that it has been eliminated by Microsoft.

GPUG / GP Partner Connections said they were working on a new independent GP exam / certification program, but I have not heard much about it recently.

Thanks,

SteveSteve Endowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03950475674093020502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691994129222744759.post-60177628916749966992015-06-01T13:45:02.066-07:002015-06-01T13:45:02.066-07:00Any update on this since Dynamics GP 2015 is out.Any update on this since Dynamics GP 2015 is out.NQABENIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13496698903580627638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691994129222744759.post-72546374992387344622014-08-18T11:53:49.299-07:002014-08-18T11:53:49.299-07:00I'm really miffed. I JUST finished putting my ...I'm really miffed. I JUST finished putting my staff through 30 days of certification H**L to complete these requirements. I can't believe that Microsoft knew this and didn't advise me accordingly. My guess is that Microsoft was about to hemorrhage partners and decided to change the requirement before real damage was done. It seems like a case of extremes. What would be reasonable is that 1 person be certified in the GP exams (i.e. Financials and Installation) and forget the other stuff. That would allow anyone who wanted to commit to knowing the product to qualify while eliminating tech guys who don't know the product at all from passing themselves off as experts. While one should know SQL, the Administration exam was far too fixated on failover clusters which most small companies don't have. Another bit of news is that Microsoft has laid off a number of Dexterity folks and I was just denied an update to a customization that Microsoft had peformed for a client because they no longer have the staff. Read into both as you will.MikeFMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17908059843540015059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691994129222744759.post-13089472939988495692014-08-17T22:27:24.929-07:002014-08-17T22:27:24.929-07:00If MSFT is focusing on AX and CRM why they are inv...If MSFT is focusing on AX and CRM why they are investing to release newer versions of GP? The idea must be to expand from the 120 000 or so companies that use GP, SL and NAV to at least ten fold that user base. Will MS sell the product if they don't succeed in exponential growth? Yes maybe, but only if SMBs abandon Office and Office365, ie rather unlikely.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04164985914749488734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691994129222744759.post-66500158698695460992014-08-14T13:34:43.474-07:002014-08-14T13:34:43.474-07:00This doesn't augur well, in my opinion.
